摘要：

Trapped ions is one of the promising platforms for universal quantum computing. This tutorial will give an introduction to the trapped ion experiments, including ion chain preparation, laser cooling, state initialization, state detection, quantum gates and quantum analog simulations. Besides, this tutorial will also try to capture the great progresses around the world toward trapped-ion quantum computing and applications in NISQ era.

主讲人简介：

Dr. Lei Feng, recieved Ph. D. from University of Chicago on quantum simulation with Bose condensates in 2019. His postdoctoral research at University of Maryland and Duke University is programmable quantum simulation and computing based on trapped Yb ions. Lei Feng joined Fudan University in 2023 and his current research focus on quantum computing and simulation using trapped ions.
